Who We Are

We offer adolescents at-risk for school failure a safe, structured environment in which to learn and grow.

Located in the West Side neighborhood of Saint Paul, GAP School, serves approximately 200 youth and young adults (ages 15-24) annually through education and enrichment; training that leads to employment; and social and emotional supports. 

 

Students at GAP School work to complete their high school diploma, and all graduates leave the program with a workforce readiness certificate in construction or healthcare. To learn more, call 651-262-5801 or complete the Inquiry Form.

State Approved Alternative High School

GAP School’s accredited, comprehensive high school diploma program serves grades 9-12 and emphasizes the acquisition of strong basic academic skills that promote college and career readiness. Leadership development and community service learning are also core components of the program. The high school program is accredited through MNSAA.  

Adult

Basic Education

Adult Basic Education provides adults, ages 18 to 24, with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an industry recognized certificate in a career pathway through a full day school program. We provide instruction in the core content areas of reading, writing, mathematics, speaking, listening and English Language Acquisition, as well as courses in citizenship, civics, basic technology skills, employability skills, health literacy, study skills, and financial literacy. The ABE Program is a member of the St. Paul Literacy Consortium.

Career Pathways

GAP School makes a difference in our students’ lives by giving them the tools and credentials they need to achieve economic stability and improve potential for higher lifetime earnings. Our goal is to make education and employment training a possibility for young adults in our community who face significant barriers.
