Uniqueness: GAP's teachers, counselors and administrators are uniquely suited and equipped to provide educational and social opportunities to its community.
Community: The ethnic composition of the Lower West Side neighborhoods served by the Guadalupe Alternative Programs is predominately Chicano/Latino, but includes people of many races and creeds. GAP programming is adaptable and serves its changing constituency. Students attending the alternative school, for instance, come from many St. Paul neighborhoods, including the Lower East Side, Selby/Dale and Frogtown.
GAP celebrates the positive and distinctive characteristics of its diverse community and participates in various cultural ceremonies and traditions. GAP welcomes persons of all races, creeds, ages, genders, sexual orientations and national origins and is prepared to serve persons with disabilities.
