With more than two decades of experience helping young persons who have not succeeded in traditional schools, GAP may be a unique alternative for your son or daughter.
Students who attend GAP's junior and senior high school typically have not been reached by the public schools. They have either been expelled or have dropped out, and are often as many as two years behind their public school peers academically.
GAP teachers and support staff believe, however, that with understanding and thoughtful mentoring young people can be successful. GAP's relationship with its students is based on trust. Small class size is important to nurturing this bond.
Each young person who attends GAP participates in a "learning community"--a community that pays particular attention to cultural uniqueness, the talents and skills of each member of that community, academic growth and leadership potential.
Whether your child has dropped out of public school or has been expelled, he or she has a real chance to succeed at GAP. GAP students are supported by a variety of programs designed for them.
