Our students are unique and talented individuals who come to GAP for a variety of reasons. Young persons who attend our alternative junior and senior high schools may be behind in credit or basic skills; a friend or relative may have been a student here; the courts may have ordered him or her to attend GAP. Whatever their reasons for coming initially, our students tend to stay at and to graduate from GAP. They tell us they have found a home.

"For some students, athletics is the hook; for others it is the arts, or computers, or the leadership opportunities. We strive to identify talent and interest areas in our students, to provide opportunities for practice and for the pursuit of excellence, to recognize growth and achievement and courage and risk-taking." -Jody Nelson, associate director
Don't Stay Stuck!
If you are a junior or senior high school-aged young person who has had trouble on your way to a diploma, Guadalupe Alternative Programs' alternative schools may be "the alternative" worth considering.
GAP has been helping to educate young people and move them toward a high school graduation for more than two decades. That's a lot of years and a lot of young people who turned their lives around when no one believed they had a chance to do it.
