GAP Programs Continued...
- YouthBuild: A pre-apprenticeship program in the building trades, health care and technology. YouthBuild offers students the opportunity to work half of the school day under the supervision of a journeyman carpenter in the renovation of low-income housing. YouthBuild Tech offer students computer and website design training. GAP is also developing job opportunities in health care.
- Summer Programming: A variety of education and enrichment activities are offered to young people during the summer months.
- Crossroads: A program providing educational and social support to young persons returning to their communities from correctional facilities, have been involved in the juvenile justice system or are substantially behind in academic credits. The program's intent is to address and improve credit, attendance, behavior, family, and community issues.
- Computer Training: GAP is now providing a full array of technology training including Cisco Systems computer network training, A+ training, etc. to high school students.
