To provide students with a comprehensive set of services, GAP partners with the following community based institutions and organizations:
Masters Program in Marriage and Family Therapy (AU/TC) provides GAP with mental health interns. For the past 10 years, GAP has been considered a Clinical Affiliate/Family Center of AU/TC and has been compensated by the University for the supervision of graduate level interns.
Inver Hills Community College (IHCC) provides education to YouthBuild participants enrolled in health care training. IHCC also completes board assessments for participants pursuing a certified nursing assistant or emergency medical technician certificates. In 2011, IHCC and GAP formalized a Memorandum of Understanding to provide transition support for GAP graduates entering post-secondary education.
Minnesota Computers for Schools (MCFS) has performed computer recycling/refurbishing training for the YouthBuild program since 2011, as well as IC3 instruction. MCFS also provides machines for the recycling/refurbishing computer lab and donated computers for GAP’s media center and all office spaces.
